Event Details

This month we will be holding TWO Feedback Forums.  Our first Feedback Forum for the month is SuperFluid.Biz a bartering system that uses virtual currency to incentivize collaboration between businesses.

PLEASE NOTE the date for this Feedback Forum is Monday, March 8th 2010.

SuperFluid.Biz

Overview

SuperFluid.biz is a barter environment enabling diverse business entities to come together and exchange services and products using our virtual currency called Quids. Currently, superfluid.biz transactions are only available to US-based entities. superfluid.biz falls within the definition of barter exchange (and reports appropriately to the Internal Revenue Service).

quids.org is our initiative dedicated to non-commercial uses of Quids. The idea of Quids.org is to allow folks to collaborate on non-commercial projects and form the same sort of dynamic community that superfluid.biz enables for business.  Quids.org is now in the process of launching.

Discussion Points

- We’ve worked hard to make the transaction structure simple but flexible. Can we make this process more user-friendly? On both sites, but especially on superfluid.biz, which has an inherently more complex process.

- We would like quids.org to be an analogue of PayPal for collaboration. How can we best support (in terms of model, API and relationship) the integration of quids.org with other sites? Initial emphasis is on sites with an organic development community like SourceForge and Basecamp, but eventually we’d like to broaden this range.

Bios

Superfluid llc is led by Nathan Solomon and Branimir Vasilic. Nathan’s background is in retail strategy (VP bus. dev. Electronics Boutique) game distribution (co-founder Gameflood, president Manifesto Games), and advertising. Branimir has a PhD in physics with experience in magnetic resonance imaging, experimental superconductivity and Ruby on Rails development.
